Kamuran Akkor, born in Istanbul in 1947, began his professional musical career in 1966. He sang in the Vasvi Uçaroglu Orchestra, for three years together with Berkant. His first 45, "Ask Eski Bir Yalan (Love is an old lie)/Balarasi (Honeybee)" was released in 1967.
