Born in Sivas in 1948, Muhlis Akarsu played masterworks of deyiþ from the start. First influenced heavily by Mahzuni Þerif, he later found and developed his own original style. His deyiþ dealt chiefly with love, and appealed to a wide public, and he made many records and cassettes. He died in 1992.
